We are now one month into our time here in the States and are so humbled to be apart of Christ’s global Church. After living a year in a land with so few Christians sitting in corporate worship gatherings has never been so sweet. We are continually humbled to be ambassadors for Christ, working day in and out to see His Church grow in nations yet unreached by the Gospel. It has been a full year with many long hours, new relationships, tears, laughter, prayer, strategizing, language learning, and discipling, and I am so thankful to be able to spend a season with our local home church. We have been and are being strengthened, encouraged, and equipped to be sent out again to the land Christ has called us to. We’ve been in GA., FL., AL., KS., and I leave for WA. today. Please pray that our time would be fruitful and used for the glory of God.
Things are going well in the Middle East with the other missionary couple we are working with. There are many changes everyday and it can be both encouraging and dramatic. Please pray that God would work greatly in and through them to strengthen the few believers that exist. They are meeting weekly for prayer, worship, and teaching… but the world, flesh, and the devil continue to try and bring divisions among the small, growing church. Please pray for doctrinal clarity, selfless love, and unity.
We will, Lord willing, spend the remainder of our time here in America networking with local churches, strengthening relationships, and praying toward what God is doing overseas. We are apart of the Church and need the local church’s prayer, wisdom, and gifts to see Christ’s Kingdom spread among unreached regions and lands. The task is great, the workers are few, the Gospel is sufficient, and Christ’s Church is the means.
"Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power. To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things, so that through the Church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him..." (Eph. 3:7-12)
We hope to connect with many of you face to face and to be mutually encouraged, but if we don’t, know that we love you all, and that we could not do what we are doing without you.
